Caracana,
which is Cornish for the love of music and song has been in
existence for a number of years and with the present line up for
the last three and a half [2006]. We play Cornish and other Celtic
music and some of our songs are sung in Cornish, others in Sawsnek
[English]. Much of what we do is from the traditional
repertoire and the remainder we write or arrange ourselves. We
also enjoy performing the work of other Cornish composers.
We
play for Street dancing, Ceilidhs, Noze Looan, parties, Weddings
and Festivals of all kinds. We have made sad people happy and
happy people even happier and have been scorched and frozen and
soaked and blown all over and we love it, hence our name and the
title of our first CD — for
the love of it….
