This index includes Cornish Dances collected from living tradition together
with dances that have been reconstructed in such a way as to preserve elements
of formation and stepping that were not communicated in the form of a complete
dance. It also includes new dances provided by the by the Cornish Dance Society
from their annual competitions which are felt to exemplify aspects of
New Dances: The Cornish Dance Scene is an innovative one,
however, with the groups involved producing a new generation of Cornish Dances,
some firmly rooted in local tradition, others drawing inspiration from farther
afield, but all celebrating a Cornish identity through a shared dance
