BACKGROUND INFORMATION This dance was composed by dancers in the Isle of Man following a Cornish workshop. They liked the Triumph so much they built this dance around it! DANCE NOTATIONS Formation
Square set with 3 people on each side - generally 2 men and 1 lady. Steps
'One, two, three hop' furry dance step Bars (A1)

Each trio takes a triumph hold i.e. men hold inside hands over the lady's head, and join outside hands with the lady in the centre. Keeping the hold, each trio dances one step to face anti-clockwise around the set, pivoting on the lady in the centre. All dance another 6 steps around the set back to place and then one to pivot back to original position. (B1)

i) Centre person in each trio drops hands, but outsides keep the arch hold. Arches move forward one step while centre person dances back one step, then arches dance back one step while centre person dances forward on step.
ii) Left hand person in each arch turns under it change place with partner (one step) and both change hands to face front, whole centres take one step to the right to finish between the next arch (i.e. one position to the right).
Repeat i) and ii) once and then i) again to finish with centre people in opposite positions, arches in original positions. (A2)
