The harvest home, known in Cornwall as the ‘Goldize’ (Gol Dheys in unified Cornish spelling) was introduced to the Church of England by Reverend Robert Steven Hawker and has been widely adopted since then. The Goldize is also associated with harvest rituals such as Crying the Neck and the dance Cock in Britches.
